Summer is quickly coming to an end and that means our sun kissed bronzed skin will too soon be gone. That’s why today I wanted to bring you a post featuring my current favorite bronzers. These bronzers will provide you with that year long sun kissed glowing skin that your not quite ready to give up, yet all the while remaining natural looking.
As for me personally when it comes to bronzers, I prefer matte ones or ones with very heavy shimmer. I just feel that bronzers with overly shimmery flecks doesn’t look as attractive or natural. Now that is not to say I don’t love adding a shimmery bronze highlight on top of my contour and bronzer to give you that ultimate bronzed goddess look. None the less, I prefer overall a matte bronzer. The ones I will share with you today are mostly matte but I will share two options of bronzer that have a very subtle shimmer.
Favorite Matte Bronzers
I want to start off sharing my absolute favorite as of right now (honestly it has been my favorite for quite some time now). I’m referring to the Too Faced Milk Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in shade Light/Medium. What I love about this bronzer is the natural finish it gives to the skin. It’s not too orange on the skin but yet definitely not cool either. As I mentioned this is a matte bronzer and it is infused with antioxidant-rich cocoa powder and signature bronzing pigments to create a unique matte bronzer that neutralizes red and evens skin tone. Not to mention it smells heavenly, like the most Too Faced products.
My second favorite, the current runner up, would be the Laura Geller Beach Matte Baked Hydrating Bronzer. This bronzer gives such a beautiful golden hue to the skin, just like you came back from a beach getaway. The package is also very beautiful, I mean such beautiful detailing in the bronzer itself. The formulation on this one is very creamy, hydrating, and blends beautifully.
Next, I wanted to provide you all with a lovely drugstore option. I want to point out, just because this is a more affordable option, does not make this any less of a bronzer. The Rimmel Natural Bronzer is a really lovely bronzer. It is a waterproof bronzing powder. It has a velvety soft texture and provides a naturally even bronzed look.
Subtle Shimmer Options
Finally here are two options of bronzers that give off a very subtle shimmer. These I love to apply with with either a stippling brush (these type of brushes are good for helping you if you tend to have a heavy hand) or with a large powder blush. I like to apply bronzers that have a slighter shimmer all over and not so much on defined areas like I would with a matte.
First, I absolutely love the Buxom Cosmetics Hot Escapes Tahiti bronzer. The one plus of this one in particular, is that it is very creamy and more importantly buildable. What I love about the fact that it is buildable, is that I am able to control the shimmer. The texture is very creamy and the scent is one of an island coconut paradise, that makes sense right? Really though, this one is so lovely.
Lastly I want to share with you another favorite of mine from Too Faced Cosmetics, the Sweet Tea Baked Luminous Glow Bronzer. There are two shades in the baked bronzers that create dimensional color to provide the look of brighter, healthier skin. If you want you have the option to use just one shade for a more custom glow or bronze shade or you can swirl them together for a universal shade.
