Fall Skin Refresh

Flawless Skin for Fall
Disclaimer: This post was sponsored by Organic Doctor through the Mom It Forward Influencer Network. However, all thoughts and opinions are 100% my own.

Change in the season calls for a change in our skin. For  most, our skin typically tends to dry out, our lips will start to chap, and our skin overall generally looks a bit lackluster (no more summer glow.) In today’s post I am going to share with you a few steps to take to transition your skincare routine from the summer to fall months. Follow the tips below to give your skin the ultimate ‘Fall Skin Refresh.’

Fall Skin Refresh

Cleanse:

When it comes to choosing cleansers for the fall months, I would recommend using something less harsh and more gentle on the skin. For the morning time you want something thats effective but more gentle. Choose a cleanser that is thicker and richer in lather. We are wanting to stick with cleansers that offer hydrating and balancing properties. For nighttime I personally love using a cleanser with a bit of exfoliant to help git rid of dry skin patches and help really clean out my pores from all the daily toxins we come in contact with.

Toner:

Speaking of balancing, the next step in any good skincare routine is using a toner. Your best bet is to find a toner that will be free of alcohol, the cold air will be drying out your skin enough, you don’t need to add any products into your routine that will be doing any more drying out. If you are wanting to achieve that dewy glowing appearance look for a toner that contains hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and salicylic acid.

Moisturize:

Now this is my favorite step. For the colder months you are really going to want to beef up your moisturizer game. Opt for a moisturizer that is heavy duty and provides all day moisture.  I recently came across Organic Doctor, an award-winning skincare and hair care line, that just launched in the US. Hailing from Britain, Organic Doctor scours the planet for the finest botanical and naturally inspired ingredients to ensure that bioactive properties of the organic ingredients are truly captured.

For my daytime moisturizer I have really fallen in love with their Organic Manuka Honey Rescue Cream

Organic Doctor Manuka Honey is a nutrient rich skin care and hair care range. Manuka Honey, known as the “healing” honey, is produced in New Zealand by bees that pollinate the native manuka bush and is renowned for its soothing properties and ability to restore and hydrate dry and cracked skin. It supports overall skin tone for softer looking skin.

What I really love about this moisturizer is the fact that it is gentle enough that I can apply throughout the day as needed, anytime I feel my skin needs that extra boost.

Another moisturizing product I discovered from Organic Doctor is their Organic Snail Gel Eye Serum. You may remember my ‘Must-Have Summer Beauty Essentials,’ post where I featured the Organic Doctor Snail Gel moisturizer that I fell in love with.

Extras:

A couple of extras to include in your skincare routine is a weekly mask and  exfoliating lips. For a face mask try choosing one that is cream based as opposed to the gel ones you use in the summer months.

Last and final tip, remember that we want to stay hydrated from the inside out. That means during the Fall and Winter months we want to drink plenty of water.
