Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub

Bring the Spa Home

After a long hard day of dealing with kids and all their millions of activities and on top of that, managing the house, all I want to do is have nice relaxing “spa night” at home.

On these type of days I am so ready to indulge in my favorite fragrances and beauty products and just pamper myself. Check out my routine below on how to have a chill and relaxing spa night at home.

Setting the Mood

Bath and Body Works, Marshmallow Fireside

I don’t know about you, but for me the moment I light one of my favorite candles, I instantly begin to feel a bit more relaxed. . Once  it, I allow the scent to fill the a air for a few minutes. Instantly I am left with a more calm and relaxed vibe.

Time to Soak

OK this has to be my favorite part of my spa routine. Taking a nice hot bath. This allows me to just escape and relax. I also use this time to reflect on the day and what’s ahead.

I begin by pulling up my “spa” channel on Pandora (a very zen and meditating vibe) and allowing the soothing melodies to work their magic. I fill my bath with my favorite lavender scented bath bubbles and between the warm water and the scent of the candle, I slowly drift away to my happy place.

Once I emerge from the bath and put on my favorite comfy lounge clothes, I then begin to prep for my skincare routine.

There’s something about taking the day’s makeup off and removing all the impurities from the skin that is so therapeutic for me. Since hearing of it’s release, I’ve been on the hunt for the new Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub, and I’ve finally found it, now it was time to put it to the test. I also picked up the Bioré Baking Soda Pore Cleanser. Since this is a non abrasive cleansing wash, I figured it would be perfect for my morning wash versus using hte scrub at night to exfoliate with.

This cleanser scrub starts a powder form and once activated with water, it features the bubbling power of baking soda, for an instant fizzing on the face- hey who says your skincare has to be boring! This action naturally cleanses pores to remove stubborn makeup and oil.

Start by pouring some of the powder into the palm of your hand and then add a splash of water to activate. Depending on how abrasive you want your scrub, you may want to add more or less water, depending all on personal preference.

Immediately I loved how when applied to face, you could feel the exfoliation in progress with the fizzing action. The fun fizzing sensation instantly makes you feel as though your skin is revived and definitely cleaner. I washed with this scrub just as I would with any other scrub, I applied all over my face with fingers and massaged in circular motions. Rinsing with water and patting face dry with a soft cloth. Remember to ALWAYS pat your face when drying and be gentle when it comes to the face.

Final Step-Moisturize

Finally the end is here- Do you feel refreshed and relaxed yet?

I have combination skin, basically the center T-zone area can get oily and the outer perimeter tends to be dry.  So Moisturizing is a definite must for me. After my face is all cleansed, I apply all the necessary serums and moisturizers to my face. This way my skin can soak everything up over night and I will wake looking and feeling younger and more youthful, well that’s how it’s suppose to work anyways. The Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub is perfect for us beauties that have combination skin, but if you are one of the many who have oily skin, you may want to try Bioré Charcoal Products.

So what does your “Spa Nights” at home look entail? What are your favorite must have holy grail products? I am always looking to add new goodies into my routine.

If you would like to try out the Bioré Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub yourself and add a bit of fun to your routine, head over to your local Target to snag you a bottle or two. Seriously you will be so glad you did.

Thanks so much for stopping by Suzie. I think it’s very important for us ladies/mommies to take some time for ourselves, unfortunately I know that is easier said then done. Here’s to hoping we can both squeeze in a pamper session soon.
